Have our transgressions led us to the collapse of civilizations?

During the Aztec empire, the sacrifice of the heart was considered the greatest sacrifice. Being elected was a great honor.

The arrival of the Spanish in Tenochtitlan was very violent, a lot of blood was shed. They completely overthrew civilization, a civilization with a promising future. They stripped them of their traditions, making them suffer physically and emotionally.

"The collapse" tries to contextualize this situation with the present. As it explores the idea that each of us has the power to destroy people and harm them in such a way that they will never be as great as they could have been. Reminding us that every time we hurt someone, we would mark them forever.

How many times are we aggressors that collapse civilizations?
